We love the trend of taking "old" useful things like baby cribs and modernizing them. So, by now you should not be surprised to see us write about another item getting a modern makeover: the shed.

Modern Sheds is a company dedicated exclusively to the designing and manufacturing of modern sheds. They give you five different models to choose from including the Garden Shed, Basic Shed, Studio Shed, and Dwelling Shed.

The Basic Shed serves as a replacement for your traditional storage and outdoor tools shed. There is no insulation and it has an open area near the top that allows air to circulate. There are also no interior finishes.

Where things start to get interesting is when you look at the Studio Shed. It basically serves as a Basic Shed with a shot of adrenaline. Unlike the Basic shed, everything is insulated including the floor, the walls and the roof. Additionally, the interior has a light finished maple plywood and the company gives you ample choice of floor colors (may we recommend the "Smoke" color). The open area at the top is covered with glass giving more style over the Basic shed. Top the whole thing off with a 36" glass door and a 30"x30" operable window and you have the recipe for a very cool outdoor shed. The smallest Studio shed size is 10' X 8' (80sqft) and the roof height is 10 feet.
